Our Approach to AI

AudioUnites exists because we believe radio should be something you own, not a black box you rent. AI is part of that — but only as a tool you control.

What AI does on AudioUnites

AI helps you run your station: it can research topics, draft scripts, generate voices, and propose schedules. But it doesn’t take over. Before anything goes on air, a human — you or your approved editor — reviews and approves it. AI proposes; you decide.

Honesty about AI

We make it easy to be honest about AI, and we leave the choice to you.

• Every AI-generated voice can carry a simple “AI-generated” label in its metadata, so listeners and platforms can see what’s AI. It’s a one-click choice, and it’s yours to make.
• We don’t force disclosure on you, and we don’t label your content behind your back. Whether and when to tell your audience that something was made with AI is your editorial call — you know your listeners better than we do.

Why not mandatory?

Because a show can mix human and AI in ways a blanket label would misrepresent. A live RJ talking with an AI voice character isn’t “an AI show” — it’s a human show that uses AI. We won’t erase the human element by stamping everything with a label.

Our own honesty

We use AI ourselves, and we say so — in our docs, our tutorials, and our own broadcasts. The same transparency we make easy for you is the standard we hold ourselves to.

The principle is simple: AI is a tool you own and control. You decide what it makes, when it airs, and what you tell your audience. We build the tools to make honesty easy — never mandatory.
